Seventh Graders Visit the Art Explora Festival
On Monday, September 15, 7th grade students from Podmurvice Primary School had an amazing opportunity to take part in the Art Explora Festival. This unique event takes place on a ship that sails into different ports around the world, bringing art and creativity to new places.
During their visit, our students stepped into the world of virtual reality and explored three cities – ancient Athens, ancient Alexandria, and renaissance Venice in a whole new way. They were also invited to participate in a creative workshop where they were challenged to show, through visual art, how they imagine a rich and a poor woman from those cities.
The exhibition tour, the virtual city experience, and the hands-on workshop were all incredibly inspiring and exciting. Our students returned full of new impressions, fresh ideas, and a greater appreciation for the power of art in connecting cultures.
A new school year in the sign of unity – a decorated English classroom
Over the past two weeks, on the eve of the new school year, students, parents, a teaching assistant, and a classroom teacher have come together to completely refurbish the new English classroom. The initiators of the entire action, with their enthusiasm and engagement, were the 7th-grade class teacher, Davorka Nekić, and the teaching assistant, Ružica Žunić. Their initiative and commitment encouraged students and parents to get involved, creating a space where learning would be even more enjoyable and stimulating. We would like to express our gratitude to the father of the class teacher, Milan Glavaš, the parents Raul and Barbara Labinac, and the 7th-grade students, David Labinac, Patrik Zbašnik, and Lana Pavić. Through joint efforts, the classroom space has undergone a complete transformation, taking on an attractive and child-friendly appearance. Now, ready and renovated, the classroom is eagerly awaiting its students, Grade 7a, who will sit in the new classroom for the first time on September 8. We believe that the new room will bring even more joy to learning and a sense of pride because it was created through joint work and cooperation.
